Chief minister candidate of samajwadi party (SP) in Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections 2012 might be Azam khan. This was announced by Samajwadi Party (SP) president Mulayam Singh Yadav on Wednesday in a rally before UP vidhan sabha elections 2012.

Mulayam singh yadav also providede some statistical data and said while Mayawati has appointed only 2 per cent Muslims as constables, he had appointed 14.6 per cent Muslims in Police during his reign.

Mulayam singh yadav accepted his mistake and said that It was a mistake to remove Azam from samajwadi party. Many such promises made during election time by different political parties. We should apply our brains and vote for party who takes care of development work. Only development work can improve the condition of all the section of people. Now we have to take a wise decision this time.
