Uttar Pradesh Women's U-19 team started BCCI's Zonal league compaign with a thumping win

This article is about the match which was played between Uttar Pradesh under-19 women team and Vidarbha under-19 women team. Uttar pradesh women team defeated Vidarbha team in a one sided match claming 5 points including a bonus point.

The BCCI's Zonal league started with Uttar Pradesh Women U-19 team taking on Vidarbha Women U-19 at Kamla Club ground, Kanpur. Komal hora the captain of Uttar pradesh U-19 team won the toss and elected to bat first looking at the flat track of kamla club. Vaishali Mishra and Komal Hora opened the inning for UP. UP lost Misra earlier as she edged one to keeper when she was at a individual score of 4. Then came in Deepti Sharma and she scored a brilliant century for UP and skipper Komal Hora scored 97 before she was dismissed unfortunately. With some quick runs scored by Chaya Singh UP reached to a very good total of 274 for 4 in 50 overs. The Vidarbha bowlers were seemed helpless against strong batting line-up of UP. After scoring a big total of 274, UP U-19 girls did not let the opposition to waste too much time on ground as UP bowlers bundled Vidarbha for just 91 out of which 39 were scored by Vidarbha Wicketkeeper Batswomen Kanchan Nagwani. None other batswomen were able to reach 15 run mark. Aditi Sharma of UP was the Major destroyer of Vidarbha innings with a match figures of 7 Over 1 maiden 19 runs and 4 wickets. Meghna Singh also took 2 wickets from her first spell as she removed both Vidarbha openers. At the end UP defeated Vidarbha by 182 runs which is a huge margin. UP got a bonus point.
