Formation of three new districts in Uttar Pradesh was announced by Mayawati just few months before of 2012 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. However the opposition parties in Uttar Pradesh are not very happy with creation of 3 new districts in UP as this step is clearly taken upcoming vidhan sabha election in UP in mind, according to them.

Three new districts in Uttar Pradesh


Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh today announced the formation of three new districts in Uttar Pradesh. The names of three new districts in Uttar Pradesh, that will be created are
  • Prabuddha Nagar
  • Panchsheel Nagar and
  • Bhim Nagar


  • According to Mayawati the reason for creation of new districts in UP is to provide better administration. So after these 3 new districts, UP now have 75 districts, which is the highest number in a particular state in India.

    Not only did she announce the creation of 3 new districts in Uttar Pradesh, the state government also posted the district magistrates and police chiefs in the new districts, which is pretty fast keeping in mind that how government works. There is also the news that Chief minister Mayawati may announce formation of Deoband district from saharanpur. However there is no official word yet. It may be announced on October 2.

    Also not only she announced the creation of there new Districts in Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati also made her vision clear about division of Uttar Pradesh into three separate states: Pashchimanchal, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand.
