Shah Jahan ordered his soldiers to cut off the hands of the craftsmen and architect after building the Taj Mahal.
So, that these craftsmen and architect could not build such an great monument again.
1,000 Elephants were used for the transportation of the construction materials.
28 different Precious stones and semi-precious stones were used to build the Taj Mahal.
Shah Jahan had promised his wife Mumtaz to built the most beautiful monument in her memory at the time of her last breath.
Shah Jahan built a Taj Mahal by saying that "Taj Mahal is like a heaven."
