Uttar Pradesh is the fourth lagest state in India

Uttar Pradesh is the most populous State in India. It accounts for over 16 per cent of the country's population

The population of this State was 166 million. Encompassing an area of 2,40,928 square kms, it is the fourth largest State covering nine per cent of the country's geographical area.

The State comprises of 70 districts. The density of population is around 689 persons per square kilometer.

Agriculture & allied services accounts for 32 per cent of state's GDP

Industry accounts for 26 per cent

Services sectors accounts for 42 per cent.
