Binaural Sleep Meditation

It is quite usual that you don’t get a good sound sleep on a stressful day. But the bad news is that the number of stressful days is increasing as we live in fast and hectic world. As such many people now suffer from lack of sleep, broken sleep, and other sleep disorder. Having a good sleep is very essential. You may notice that after a bad sleep the previous night, you feel a lack of energy the next day. All day you won’t feel fresh. An eight hour sleep is recommended for adults so that the body and mind recover and recharged. Such a sleep is essential for both our physical and mental health. However, the cases of sleep disorder are increasing at an alarming pace. Taking sleeping pills to induce sleep is a bad practice. Taking such pills long-term has causes adverse reactions and you may also become habituated to taking the pills. There are other alternative to drugs which are more beneficial. One such sleep inducing method is binaural sleep meditation.

Meditation is an age old practice in India. We all are aware of the internal and external benefits of meditation. There is no doubt that the West is turning to meditation and Yoga and is seeking spiritual bliss of the Oriental World, especially India to counter the effects of their fast stressful lifestyle. However, binaural sleep meditation is different from traditional meditation. This technique uses binaural beats to induce a relaxing and deep sleep. These beats have proved to modify or alter the brainwaves of the listeners thereby allowing them to slip into an advanced state of relaxation. Hence the person experiences a deep unbroken sleep.

Binaural beats combine two different sound frequencies listened by each of our ear with the help of a stereo headphones. When you listen to the soothing sound or music, you feel relaxed and slip into a deep meditative state. It has been established by studies that when two distinct frequencies are played on each ear, our brain sub-cortical system is affected causing the subject to relax and enjoy a peaceful sleep.

Binaural beats are not difficult to find. You will find website offering binaural sleep download. You can download them and listen to them and see the effect for yourself. I have tried it and they give a really wonderful experience. Within minutes after you start playing the beat, you will feel the changes in your state of mind. It can really turn your life around if you are also experiencing sleep disorders. So try it.
