U.P. Chief Minister's wife and the issue of serving of court notice to herIndian democracy is peculiar. We often say that every body has equal rights and no body is above law of the nation. It was expected that a young C. M. taking over the reins of Uttar Pradesh will enthuse new life and improvement in law and order in the state. But it has, perhaps, proved to be contrary to the expectations. So much so that even serving a notice to the CM's wife is proving difficult. Yesterday, the Allahabad High Court had to order the District Judge Etah to ensure serving of notice to Dimple Yadav wife of U.P. Chief Minister in an election petition. Since the Officers of the State seem to be afraid of serving the notice, the High Court has asked to paste the notice outside her residence in case she is not available.
This is a glimpse of respect for law of the land by our politicians.
