Gandhigiri adopted to tackle traffic rules violators at Lucknow

Police is known to issue tickets (challans) to the public violating traffic rules. Hundreds of such tickets are issued everyday but it seems it is not effective as there is no decline in the number of tickets issued. The new Superintendent of Police (Traffic) at Lucknow thought of adopting Gandhigiri to tackle this problem. If you violate a traffic rule no wonder you will be offered roses or eclairs toffee. Police is hopeful that where challan did not work roses and toffees may do.

HamaraUP members may express their views on this Gandhigiri adopted by police at Lucknow. Will it really work?

    Hello Sir,
What a nice concept from Lucknow police. Really appreciable movement from new Superintendent of Police (Traffic) at Lucknow. But will it be really helpful? I think in some case it will be very helpful and in some cases it may not. Let see further if it works or not.

    Hello Friends,

It is indeed a new way to dealing with the situation of traffic laws violation. The people who will feel ashmed of the fact that they are being offered toffes and roses inspite of violating the rules, will definitely not repeat the mistake. But there are also people who don't care of such things. For them it is going to make no differance.
