Gandhigiri adopted to tackle traffic rules violators at LucknowPolice is known to issue tickets (challans) to the public violating traffic rules. Hundreds of such tickets are issued everyday but it seems it is not effective as there is no decline in the number of tickets issued. The new Superintendent of Police (Traffic) at Lucknow thought of adopting Gandhigiri to tackle this problem. If you violate a traffic rule no wonder you will be offered roses or eclairs toffee. Police is hopeful that where challan did not work roses and toffees may do.
