Definitely Atal Bihari Vajpayee and narendra Modi are two very popular leaders of BJP. Though Atal Bihari Vajpayee has retired form active politics, his charm is still there, which can work in the favour of Bhatiya Janta Party in 2012 vidhan sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh.
As far as Narendra modi is concerned, he can make development a major poll issue in state where only election issue is castism.

Shri Atal Bihari Bajpai ji former Prime Minister of India and Shri Narendra Modi ji Chief Minister of Gujrat are the two key and icon face of Bhartiya Janta Party one represent Brahmin face and other Hindutva face.As far as campaigning concern Modiji utilise by the party regularily while Atal ji now are inactive due to health concern.
In my view Narendra Modi can become usefull to BJP when they announced him PM candidate of Party for 2014 elections.As Congress,SP project their youth faces to attract young newlly added voters but BJP and BSP fails to do that even they have abundant young guns.So it will be suspecious that how much both senior leaders helpful to BJP.
