    Hello K Mohan,
Thanks for starting this thread. Yes, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) service is now launched all over India as well as in Uttar Pradesh obviously. This service enables all the customers to change their network while keeping their mobile number same, it is a great service in my opinion.

Often it happens that service providers fried our minds by poor service and we couldn't change the network even if we wanted because earlier it was not possible to save your number but now as MNP service in India available we can change our network if we are not satisfied with current service provider. What all it requires is just Rs.19 for MNP charge and near about one week to port your number to another network during this period you will have to face 2 hours of no service period.

So, in my opinion it is best service for Indian users and many people will take its advantage.

    Regards,
    Ram Ratan Maurya.

Ram Ratan thanks for coming with good reply to this post. But dont you feel the operators are having nightmare regarding their customers shifting loyalties at the drop of the hat. Previously these mobile operators are taking us for ride with lots of excuses and now the customer portability change is definitely a great concern for them.
