I too agree with your view, and also I want to bring something into notice of Pankaj, there are a lot of limitations for either new commers or normal members like they can only create one community.

If you are not allowing except editors to post anyone else in such kind of section then you won't be able to increase traffic. At least if you allow people to post places to visit then you can get quite good number of entries and a lot of pages.
please think about this. this kind of things may be also at other place once I come to know I will let you know.
