It is the Central university of Uttar Pradesh. Students have a much craze to join this university. It offers admission in various courses. It was first known as MAO college and was founded by sir Syed. This MAO college was renamed as Aligarh muslim university in the year 1920. It has got recognition from UGC. It offers courses in various fields but its engineering and medical courses are famous.
