About University: Aligarh Muslim University is one of the central University of Uttar Pradesh. Aligarh Muslim University was established in year 1875 as the name of Mahammedan Anglo Oriental (MAO) College. The M.A.O. college was originally affiliated with Calcutta University. It was transferred to the Allahabad University in 1885 and it was granted a status of Central University by an act of Indian Parliament in 1920. University offeres more than 350 courses in campus.
